18 weeks!

18 weeks pregnant Jan. 12 2011!

I have started feeling much better. I realized that I have become more sensitive to dairy products so I called the Doctor and asked about the Lactase enzyme. You take it with your first bite of dairy and it helps break down the lactose. No more bloating and stomach aches! Yay! The nurse told me it has really great reviews with pregnancy, so I have been taking it with all dairy. It works great! I am also using lactose free milk.
I started feeling baby move for sure, around my 16th week. That is the most amazing feeling. It might be my favorite part of pregnancy.
I've gained around 3 lbs. since my 10 week check up, which I'm feeling pretty great about, by this time my first pregnancy I think I had gained close to 20 lbs.
So aside from the occasional head ache, sinus congestion and tiredness, I'd have to say I'm feeling pretty good.
The most exciting appointment is coming up! Still scheduled for Jan. 24th I can't wait!

  3. that's cool. do you have to have a prescription for the enzyme or can you get it over the counter. I hate the miserable bloating. Glad you are feeling well and anticipate your ultra sound results

  4. Jenna-It's just over the counter. It's called Lactaid, the main ingredient is called lactase, it also comes in drops so you can make your milk lactose free but its fairly expensive.
