18 months

This is my favorite picture this month. He got a hold of Grandma's pearls and thought they were the greatest so he actually posed for me.

Landon turned 18 months on June 16th! I can't believe how fast he is growing.
Height: 31.5 inches (27.45 %tile)
Weight: 25.79 lbs (49.61 %tile)
Head Circ: 19.09 inches (70.59 %tile)

He's still a shorty, maybe he'll have a growth spurt sometime because both Dan and I are tall, so it's kinda strange he is considered short.
His weight is almost average. He was at the doctor exactly a month before for his stitches and gained about
1 1/4lbs (38 %tile) since!
Still has a big head, of course it's because he is so smart!
He just really started saying words only two or so weeks ago,
the words he says are,
Sssth= Cat (kinda sounds like a "hiss")
Dog
owside= outside
Byye= Bye
Ma Ma
Da Da
Um-Ma= Grandma
Ouch
Shoes
Up
Ball
Step
Baah=Bath
I ya= I love you (We are still working on this one)
He can imitate some of the alphabet and some numbers, he makes the same noise for most of them, but he will go through the whole alphabet with me.
He signs:
All done
Bye Bye
Please
Thank you
He just recently started recognizing his shapes and colors on his Shape Ball (where you match the shapes and they drop into a ball)
He still loves books, his favorite toy is still his vacuum from his first birthday. He has a fascination with the computer key board and mouse as well as our cell phones, everything turns into a phone.
He loves his swing set we got last month. We just put up the pool so we'll see if he ends up loving it too.
He's being a super picky eater, he used to eat everything. Now he won't even try anything. Even things he used to love.

I didn't get a chance to post this last week because he had his appointment, then two days after that he was sick.
He threw up 5 times on Saturday, and had several "blow out" diapers a day, up until today. He's feeling much, much better but he's still not 100%.
On Monday my Mom and I woke up sick too and we are barely getting our strength back. It was a horrible flu, so be careful and wash your hands a lot!

  1. He is really growing up so much! It is such fun to see how much he is learning all the time. He is a very bright little boy. And so cute! What would you expect with such exceptional parents!

  2. no fun with the sickness going around. love your "Landon List" - every new thing is so exciting. and that picture is a great one too!
    I don't know about you, but I can't wait to have all of our boys' things written down so we can look back on them someday and remember funny things from when they were little. Awesome job!
